Mapping the Transfer Terrain: From Math Maze to Pathways

For students navigating the path from community college to university, the terrain is often far from smooth, particularly when it comes to math requirements. Math misalignment is one of the key barriers for students seeking to transfer, particularly in STEM majors. Students often must contend with the gate of math anxiety while navigating a maze of complex, inconsistent, and often opaque requirements at a pace that is too often dictated by scheduling conflicts beyond their control. In recent years, some state systems have been working to smooth these paths. Watch this session to learn from state leaders and researchers about some of these initiatives.
