Alyssa Nguyen has worked in the California Community Colleges system for more than 15 years, contributing to a variety of systemwide projects, including the Multiple Measures Assessment Project, which identifies effective placement models utilizing multiple measures, and Through the Gate, a study that examines what levers promote transfer. Nguyen is a California Community Colleges graduate. She earned an Associate of Arts degree at College of the Redwoods, transferred to Humboldt State University to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology, and is currently a doctoral student at the UC Davis School of Education’s School Organization & Education Policy program.
