Laura Watkins is the immediate past president of AMATYC (the American Mathematical Association of Two Year Colleges) and a longtime member of the mathematical faculty at Glendale Community College in Arizona. She teacher developmental as well as upper level mathematics courses. She is also a past president of ArizMATYC, and a frequent presenter at math conferences. She also served as coordinator of Project ACCESS, a program to support early-career faculty in advancing the teaching and learning of mathematics.
