Maxine Roberts has dedicated her career to expanding access to higher education for historically marginalized students. With a strong foundation in both technology and education, she began her career as a software programmer before transitioning to work in education. Throughout her journey, Roberts has led a national organization to reform developmental education, directed youth programs in urban areas, collaborated with community college faculty to improve course outcomes, and conducted research on success factors for Black and Latinx students in developmental math courses. Her expertise spans addressing educational inequities, grant making, and strategies for enhancing college access and success. Roberts is deeply committed to fostering systemic change and ensuring students have equitable educational opportunities.
