Robert Q. Berry III is the dean of the School of Education at Indiana University Bloomington and a professor of mathematics education holding the Paul L. Lindsey and Kathy J. Alexander endowed chair. Berry was a faculty member at the University of Virginia, where he held the Samuel Braley Gray endowed professorship in the School of Education and Human Development. Berry is a National Academy of Education member and has authored and co-edited eight books, written more than 100 refereed publications and chapters, and delivered more than 300 academic presentations, keynote talks, and distinguished lectures globally.
Berry is a first-generation college graduate who received his Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University, his master’s degree from Christopher Newport University, and a doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
