Tammi Marshall

Dean of Math, Science, and Engineering

Tammi Marshall is the dean of Math, Science, and Engineering at Cuyamaca College. Prior to becoming dean, Marshall was a mathematics instructor at Cuyamaca for 26 years, 11 of those as department chair. In 2010, Marshall and her mathematics department colleagues began working with the California Acceleration Project (CAP) to redesign Cuyamaca’s developmental math sequence for more equitable placement and completion of transfer-level math, culminating in the launch of Cuyamaca’s Math Pathway program in 2016. Marshall has also been a math coach for CAP; a facilitator for the Charles A. Dana Center’s Mathematics Pathways; worked with Complete College America; and served as a consultant to many organizations, colleges, and universities across the nation. Most recently, she presented at the 2024 Meauxmentum Summit on higher education in Louisiana. Marshall holds a master’s degree in math education and a doctorate in educational leadership (community college emphasis) from San Diego State University.
