Student Voices: Math Beyond the Classroom

Students’ perspectives can illustrate how making math meaningful enhances learning. In this session, students shared their experiences using math outside the classroom to promote civic participation, support informed decision-making, and advocate for social justice. By engaging with mathematical content and concepts to advance democratic goals, they provided insights into how to make math instruction more impactful.
